Michael S. Gorby, MD, FACP, has been practicing in Palestine, Texas, since 1991. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in Critical Care. At Sycamore Medical Clinic, Dr. Gorby is committed to improving the health of patients in his community.
Dr. Gorby received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at Reed College in 1978 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Doctorate in Medicine in 1982 from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, graduating 9th in his class. He was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society as a Junior. He served an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Florida from 1982 – 1985. He served as the Chief Medical Resident and Instructor in Critical Care from 1985 – 1986 and then as Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque from 1986 – 1990. He is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians (FACP).
Outside of his practice, Dr. Gorby is involved in Rotary, Boy Scouts of America, St. Philip’s Episcopal Church, Palestine Chamber of Commerce, Texas Medical Association, and Anderson-Leon County Medical Society.
